Initially there was speculation that the sudden death was the result of a bump on the head during a U.S. Airway fight, but the initial findings of the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner, Dr. Vernard Adams are that the cause of death was more likely a heart attack in his sleep. Mickelson, No. 2 in the World Rankings, will miss the HP Byron Nelson Championship and the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. He had been scheduled to play in Wednesday's Gold Pro-Am at the TPC Four Seasons at Las Colinas.

Mickelson won the Nelson in 1996 and is the defending champion at Colonial.

Amy Mickelson is scheduled for more tests, but her treatment is expected to begin with major surgery within two weeks.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Atlanta-based rapper Dolla (né Anthony Burton II) was shot and killed outside of Los Angeles' Beverly Center shopping mall just after 3 p.m. PDT on Monday. Though the Los Angeles Police Dept. would not confirm the identity of the victim, the Times reports that Dolla's publicist, Sue Vannasing, confirmed to the newspaper that her client was shot outside the mall, while waiting with fellow rapper D.J. Shabbazz. Dolla is believed to be in his early twenties.

The shooting reportedly occurred during a group melee, possibly also involving a knife. Police have detained a person of interest, whom the LAPD would not name and said had not yet been arrested. Dolla is perhaps best known for the single "Feelin' Myself," which was featured in the 2006 dance film Step Up.

Ethan Zohn, the winner of Survivor: Africa, the series' third cycle, has begun a fierce battle with the disease, the 35-year-old tells People.

"This is the ultimate game of Survivor and there's really only one outcome, and that's to win," he says. "There's no other option."

Night sweats and strange itching led the reality-TV star to think he had some sort of skin condition until, on April 30, he was diagnosed with stage two Hodgkin's disease. Shortly after a swollen lymph node and a mass on the left side of his chest were found, doctors declared Zohn had a rare form of the disease called CD20-positive Hodgkin's lymphoma.

He began chemotherapy treatments last Friday.
"My life flashed before my eyes," Zohn says of hearing his diagnosis. Both he and his longtime girlfriend, Survivor season-six winner Jenna Morasca, have lost parents to cancer.

The 2009 Community Prayer Breakfast was held at Kellogg Arena, bringing people of various faiths to hear readings from the Torah and the Old and New Testaments.

The event featured a speech from Michael Franzese, a former member of New York's Colombo crime family.

As the gathered diners poured Kellogg's cereal and downed coffee, Franzese talked about his life in the mob.

It was a tale of going in and out of prison, being targeted for death by the Mafia and his eventual path to God and prayer.

"I want to be really honest with you this morning, especially you young people," Franzese said to the audience. "That life at times is very violent."

"If you're part of the life, you're part of the violence and there's no escape," he said.

The ex-caporegime said part of his spiritual awakening came through a Bible given to him by a prison guard after he had been arrested for parole violations in the early 1990s.

Before his arrest, Franzese was making an effort to escape the organized crime lifestyle. He was being held in solitary confinement out of fear he would be killed in the general population for trying to get out of the crime family.

"I looked at it and said, 'This guy sends me a Bible?' I want a bottle of Prozac or something right now, not a Bible,'" he said.

Nevertheless, Franzese found the answers he was looking for in the pages of the book. He said the true credit for his transformation from mobster to motivational speaker goes to that prison guard he didn't know the name of and never saw again.

James Sunnock and his wife, Aileen, brought their three teenage sons to hear Franzese's message over breakfast.

"We just to like to hear different people's stories," he said. "What a remarkable story. Being in the Mafia and then he found freedom."

Sunnock is a pastor at Battle Creek's Victory Life Church. He said another important aspect of the Prayer Breakfast was getting the spiritual community to come together.

Ashraf Marwan (Arabic: أشرف مروان‎) (b. 1944[1]-June 27, 2007) was an Egyptian billionaire and an alleged spy for Israel, or possibly an Egyptian double agent. He was married to Mona Gamal Abdel Nasser, the daughter of former Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser.

Marwan was born in 1944 and earned a Ph.D. in economics in Britain. He married Nasser's daughter in the 1960s.[1] He ended his relationship with Israel in the 1970s but, surprisingly, did not seem to suffer any political consequences.
He was later made chief of staff to Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and, a leading Arab industrialist, became a business partner of Mohamed al-Fayed, the owner of Harrod's department store and whose son Dodi Fayed died in a car crash with Diana, Princess of Wales, in 1997.

His son is married to Hania Moussa, daughter of Amr Moussa, the former Egyptian foreign minister and current secretary general of the Arab League.

"What went through your mind when you found out that Marwan was dead? Did you believe he'd been murdered?" 60 Minutes correspondent Steve Kroft asked Blum.

"Yes, I believed very much that he was murdered. My next question was by whom," he replied.

"And that's a complicated question?" Kroft asked.

"That's a complicated question because Marwan was a complicated man," Blum said.

It's a tale rooted in nearly 40 years of history and a distant war. And as you will see, there are two different versions.

Both of them begin in 1969, not long after the Israelis routed invading Arab armies in the Six Day War, capturing the West Bank from Jordan, the Golan Heights from Syria, and the Sinai Peninsula from the Egyptians.

Another war, to recapture the lost territory, was already brewing when a tall, elegant 26-year-old Egyptian contacted Israeli intelligence in London and offered to provide them his country's most important military secrets.

"It was, for us, something unbelievable," remembered Major General Aharon Farkash, who until recently was Israel's director of military intelligence.

"In our work of intelligence we are very, very suspicious about everything. So we try to ask difficult questions about everything that he brought. And after years we understood this is a piece of gold," Farkash told Kroft.

"In the annals of spies for Israel, where does Marwan rank?" Kroft asked Aharon Levran, who at the time was one of Israel's highest ranking intelligence officers.

"He was the best. He was the best," Levran replied.

Levran was one of only a select few with access to the information that Marwan provided.

"It was a bonanza. It was a masterpiece of information," Levran said.

"Like having somebody?" Kroft asked.

"In the bed of the ruler," Levran replied.

Actually, Marwan was in the bed of the ruler's daughter. He was the son-in-law of Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser, and Nasser's liaison to the Egyptian intelligence services.

"Why do you think he became an Israeli spy?" Kroft asked Levran.

"It was money, it was adventure. He was a special character," he replied.

The meetings took place at a London safe house near the Dorchester Hotel, under the direct supervision of the head of Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service.

According to the Israelis, part of Marwan's motivation was a deep hatred of the Soviet Union, Egypt's major ally, military patron and chief arms supplier. But the Israelis say Marwan also demanded more than $100,000 per meeting to finance what they claim was a lavish London lifestyle that included wine, gambling and women.

"He was for sale," Kroft remarked.

"In a way," Levran acknowledged.

"And Israel paid him very well," Kroft said.

"He was worth every penny," Levran replied.

Dom DeLuise -- who starred in such classics as "The Cannonball Run" and "Blazing Saddles" and was the voice of Pizza the Hutt in "Spaceballs" -- died last night in a Los Angeles hospital.

We're told he passed away peacefully in his sleep at around 6 PM.

He was 75.

Ira Einhorn, co-founder of Earth Day

Today is Earth Day, a holiday created to honor the planet and to raise the consciousness of man’s effect on the environment. Philadelphia has a very strong tie to this day. One of its native sons, Ira Einhorn, was a co-founder of the environmentalist jubilee.

But Mr. Einhorn has another line on his resume. In addition to being a environmental guru, he is the Unicorn Killer.

While a student at the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Einhorn dated a Bryn Mawr College graduate by the name of Holly Maddux. When the affair ended in 1977, Mr. Einhorn went into a jealous rage and murdered her.

He concealed his crime for 18 months by stuffing Ms. Maddux’s body in a trunk that he kept in his apartment. The foul odor of the decomposing corpse coming from Mr. Einhorn’s Powelton Village apartment caused neighbors to complain. In 1979, police found the trunk stored in a closet in Mr. Einhorn’s apartment.

Ira Einhorn, member of the counterculture pantheon, one of the founders of the environmentalist movement, icon of the liberal intelligentsia, was charged with murder. But it was not just a simple murder, it was a gruesome case of domestic violence.

At the bail hearing, Mr. Einhorn was praised by a contingent of luminaries — all testifying to his character. There were Ivy League professors, an Episcopalian minister and corporate executives who worked with Mr. Einhorn raising funds. They all stated under oath that he was a man of the greatest integrity.

Arlen Specter, currently Pennsylvania’s senior United States Senator, was Mr. Einhorn’s attorney. He managed to get the bail set at the unheard of amount of $40,000 for the suspected murderer. Only 10 percent was needed to free him. Barbara Bronfman, heiress to the Seagram liquor fortune, paid it.

Proclaiming his innocence, Mr. Einhorn told all that he was framed. He said it was the CIA or the FBI who committed the murder and they were trying to frame him for it because of his political activities.

Some will note that another notorious Philadelphia murderer, Mumia Abu Jamal, used this defense a few years later. Like Mumia, Mr. Einhorn had no shortage of leftist followers.

Mr. Einhorn skipped bail and left Philadelphia in 1981. More than a decade passed when the DA's office tried Mr. Einhorn in absentia after being unable to locate him. He was convicted in 1993.

Several years after the absentia conviction, in 1997, Mr. Einhorn was located. He was living in France with a new girlfriend — a Swedish woman. The District Attorney’s office in Philadelphia immediately asked to have him extradited. However, the humane French refused to extradite Mr. Einhorn. French officals cited the use of capital punishment in Pennsylvania and the conviction in absentia as reasons for their refusal.

Mr. Einhorn was able to convince the French courts not to extradite him until he received the promise of a new trial. A Pennsylvania legislator, Dan O’Brien, introduced a bill in the Pennsylvania General Assembly that allowed granting Mr. Einhorn a new trial, if he asked for it, and if the French extradited him. The bill did not vacate the original verdict.

When France began extradition, Mr. Einhorn’s representatives requested the European Court of Human Rights to review the case. The request was denied.

He was extradited to Pennsylvania in July 2001. He was tried, convicted and sentenced to life in prison October 17, 2002.

But there is a little mentioned irony about the Einhorn saga.

Ira Einhorn was arrested for murder March 28, 1979, the day the Three Mile Island nuclear plant accident occurred. Ira Einhorn, environmentalist, was charged with murder during the same period as one of the greatest environmental accidents in United States history.

But the real irony is that more people died in the apartment of Ira Einhorn, co-founder of Earth Day than at Three Mile Island. The environmentalist killed more people than the so-called environmental disaster.

Then we came to the chorus and it was like she didn't know what to do -- or like even her powerful voice isn't quite up to out-shouting Steven Tyler -- so despite the louder volume, the performance actually felt less dramatic as it moved along. She's been better.

Anoop Desai, "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You": Quentin Tarantino is the best guest judge in "Idol" history -- and, really, the best judge the show's had other than Simon himself -- but it appears he can be ignored just as easily as every other celebrity mentor. This performance wasn't the least bit rough like Tarantino suggested. Clean and clear and in tune, but dull. Bring back fun Anoop!

Adam Lambert, "Born To Be Wild": And here's the Adam I didn't like very much in the semi-finals and early in the finals. Very much a Vegas lounge performance of a classic rock anthem that turned halfway through into his latest Axl Rose impression. (There are at least three Guns 'N Roses songs that have featured prominently in movies -- plus "Live and Let Die," which they memorably covered years later. Will Axl -- and/or Paul McCartney -- just not license the songs?) He's still the most talented guy here, and he's gonna win, but this is one of those cases where I really disliked what he chose to do with his talent.

Matt Giraud, "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman": Starts off doing his usual Justin Timberlake soundalike thing, then turns into a complete mess halfway through and never recovers. Just bad. On the plus side, it did make me think about "Don Juan DeMarco" for a few minutes, which is a really entertaining film other than the weird scene where Marlon Brando blows popcorn at Faye Dunaway while they're in bed together.

Danny Gokey, "Endless Love": First, Danny looks like a completely different person without the Rachel Maddow glasses. Second, while I know the people who dislike him are going to pile on about the moment at the end where he looked up at the heavens and cried for his dead wife, I was fine with it. He hasn't mentioned her in a long time, clearly isn't milking it for votes, and given his situation, I imagine it'd be hard not to think of her after singing a song like that -- and singing it, as even Simon acknowledged, quite well. This falls into the Anoop category of tuneful but not incredibly interesting, but the end felt earned.

Kris Allen, "Falling Slowly": I don't know that I feel competent to evaluate this one, since A)I love this song, and the scene from "Once" that introduces it; and B)I was so gobsmacked that someone in this cast was picking a relatively obscure song (as obscure as an Oscar winner for Best Original Song can be, anyway) rather than another entry in the Diane Warren catalog. I think I side with Kara over Randy, in that the passion was there enough for the song to carry the rest, but again, I'm not entirely rational on the subject of "Falling Slowly."

Lil Rounds, "The Rose": I hated the arrangement, her voice sounded all over the place and the last note was terrible. Also Simon's criticism -- "You are not the artist I believe we met seven or eight weeks ago" -- is as cutting as anything he's ever said on the show to someone who at one point was one of his favorites.

Best of the Night: Eh... One of Anoop, Danny or Kris, but the first two mostly bored me and the last is as much about song choice as the performance.

In danger: Lil, definitely. (Other than very late in the season, like Melinda, how often has someone gone home after getting the pimp spot?) Matt, almost certainly. After that, I wouldn't be surprised by anyone but Adam or Danny getting center stage. Allison went first and has been in the bottom a few times before. Anoop's been in the bottom several times and, like Allison, just may not have the fanbase to carry him through if Lil and/or Matt's fans vote like crazy because they got slammed by the judges.

'90210' Actor in Vicious Hollywood Street Brawl
One of the guys from the new "90210" series pulled a guy out of a taxi cab and beat the living crap out of him this weekend -- and the whole thing was caught on tape.

It all went down outside of MyHouse nightclub, when a group of guys including Brandon Michael Vayda -- who plays Mike on the show -- got into a screaming match with another group of guys over something that was probably stupid and meaningless.

All of a sudden, a couple of guys from each group began throwing punches at each other while Vayda stood and watched. But moments later, after the other group retreated, Vayda stormed into a taxi, and threw several elbows and punches at one of the guys.

Vayda managed to take the guy out of the cab and onto the ground, where he continued to rain down on the guy with a flurry of bombs to the face.

Eventually, the fight was broken up. No arrests were made.

Ernie Scherer III Arrested on Charges of Murder

The poker player son of a couple found beaten to death in their California home nearly a year ago was arrested in Las Vegas on a murder warrant.

Authorities in Clark County, Nev., say Ernie Scherer III is being held without bail at a Las Vegas jail on a warrant issued out of Alameda County, Calif.

The 30-year-old professional poker player had previously been described by Alameda County investigators as a "person of interest" in the brutal beating of Ernie Scherer Jr. and his wife, Charlene Abendroth.

He was arrested Monday night, the Contra Costa Times reported.

The 60-year-old Scherer and 57-year-old Abendroth were found dead inside their home in the Castlewood Country Club community outside Pleasanton, Calif., in March of 2008, where they had lived for two years.

They were dead for about a week before they were found, the Times reported. Their daughter called the country club after not being able to reach them, according to the newspaper.

During the course of their investigation, deputies had searched the home of the younger Scherer and seized his car.

Scherer Jr. dabbled in professional poker, but was a full-time real estate investor, while his wife of 31 years was a lecturer at Cal State East Bay, according to the Times.

"The Dragon" will be joining The Funks and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in Houston, Texas one night before WrestleMania. It's a record that can only be broken in Rio de Janeiro. A samba dancer has worn the smallest scrap of clothing ever in a Carnival parade. The O Globo newspaper said model Dani Sperle sported a sparkly silver headdress, a necklace, matching arm bands _ and nothing else but a 3 centimeter (1.2-inch) long patch of cloth.

All in front of 80,000 Sambadrome specators early Monday morning.

That breaks the record set last year by Viviane Castro, whose covering was all of 4-centimeters (1.5 inches) long.

Judges last year penalized Castro for violating nudity limits. There's no word yet if Sperle's samba school will also lose points.

Brian Mandeville's Heart

Brian Mandeville, the talented small school tight end from Northeastern, may have seen his NFL career end before he ever suited up for a Sunday game.

During a routine exam at the combine doctors noticed something out of the ordinary with Mandeville's heart. A further inspection led combine doctors to the diagnosis that Mandeville may have an issue with one of his heart valves.

Mandeville has since been informed by the examining doctors here in Indianapolis that he should not play football moving forward, and it seems his dreams of playing in the NFL have likely ended.

His agent, Ryan Tollner of Rep 1 Sports Group, said just minutes ago that the medical issues now facing Mandeville are not life-threatening.

"Brian will fly back to California and be examined by heart specialists to completely diagnose the issue. Obviously his well being is priority number one at this time."

Tollner stated no one was aware of Mandeville's condition until combine doctors notified them of it. He did state at this time it seems unlikely that Mandeville will have a career in the NFL.

"Survivor: Tocantins" got down to the nitty-gritty Thursday night, including one tribe dining on fresh termites and a free-for-all water basketball game that led one team to immunity.

The two tribes - Jalapao and Timbira - got to know each other a little better after last week's fast-moving first episode, with Sierra letting fellow Timbira tribe member Brendan in on her secret quest to find the immunity idol.

"Survivor's" very own basketbrawl ended with the Jalapao tribe winning immunity and sending Brendan off to Exile Island. He was able to take an opposing team member with him, choosing Taj George, whose big secret - that she's married to former NFL player Eddie George - is out and has left her feeling uneasy.

At the tribal council, Candace was taken by surprise and voted off the island. Sierra lives to see another week.

They say you can always go home, but Robbie Tolan doesn’t want to.

“It’s not really home anymore,” he said.

For him, the house in Bellaire is a constant reminder of what happened in the early morning hours of December 31.

“Even though they cleaned it up, I can still see the blood on the floor and on the concrete. I mean, I see everything that night. It’s like a crime scene.”

The night Tolan is talking about is the night that he and his cousin picked up food and were heading home.

Bellaire Police thought Tolan was driving a stolen car. They later learned they were wrong.

Officers confronted him outside his home. It was that confrontation that led to Tolan getting shot.

“He took his gun and he just shot him. He wasn’t standing two feet from me, the officer, and he shot him,” Tolan’s mother, Marian, told HBO for a special airing Tuesday night.

Marian Tolan said she witnessed what happened. She said that she heard commotion and came outside to talk with officers.

This is how she described what happened when her son tried to defend her.

“’You don’t have to shove my mom like that’ and the guy never said a word. He never said ‘shut up,’" Marian Tolan said. "He never said ‘get down’ or ‘stay down.’ He never said a word.”

Now Tolan, a former Bellaire baseball standout, is worried his dream of playing in the major leagues is over because he has a bullet lodged in his liver.

Matt Kenseth wins rain-shortened Daytona 500

Matt Kenseth drove from the back of the field to take the Daytona 500 lead minutes before the sky opened up, handing the former series champion his first victory in NASCAR's version of the Super Bowl.

Coming off one of the worst seasons of his career, Kenseth's bad luck followed him into Daytona International Speedway. He wrecked his primary car, had to go to a backup and started Sunday's race in last place.

But as rain closed in on the season-opening event, the field turned it up a notch — anticipating the race would not go the distance. Kenseth used a huge push from Kevin Harvick to pass Elliott Sadler with 54 laps to go. Caution came out moments later for an accident started by Paul Menard, and the rain that had been threatening all day finally arrived.

NASCAR stopped the race two laps later, and the cars were called to pit road. Some drivers climbed from their cars to await NASCAR's decision on whether to restart the race, but Kenseth sat patiently inside his parked Ford on pit road.

When NASCAR declared it over, the 2003 Cup champion tearfully climbed from his car to celebrate his victory, which snapped a 36-race winless streak. It was also the first Daytona 500 win for team owner Jack Roush.

"It's going to be really wet if I cry like a baby," the usually cool Kenseth said as he choked back tears. "I tell you what, after last year, winning a race means a lot to me."

Kevin Harvick, who used a push from Kenseth to win the 500 in 2007, finished second.
AJ Allmendinger, who had to race his way into the field in one of Thursday's qualifiers, finished third.

Clint Bowyer was fourth and Sadler was fifth, devastated he lost the lead moments before the rain stopped the race.

Bills' RB Marshawn Lynch arrested on gun charge

Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch was arrested in Southern California on a weapons charge, police said Sunday.
Police said Lynch was arrested Wednesday night after officers approached him and two other men sitting in a 2006 Mercedes-Benz in this Los Angeles suburb and found a loaded firearm.
Lynch was arrested after officers determined the gun belonged to him. He was released that night on $35,000 bail.
Culver City police did not immediately return a phone message seeking information about why officers approached Lynch and his companions.
Lynch's lawyer, M. Gerald Schwartzbach, said his client was not involved in a traffic incident. Schwartzbach said the player was in California to visit friends.
A Bills spokesman had no comment.
The 22-year-old Lynch was the Bills' first-round draft pick out of California in 2007. He played in his first Pro Bowl earlier this month after being added to the team in place of injured Tennessee running back Chris Johnson.
Lynch's arrest marked the second time in less than a year that he has been in trouble with the law.
In June, Lynch pleaded guilty to a traffic violation and admitted speeding off in his Porsche Cayenne SUV after striking a female pedestrian near Buffalo's downtown bar district on May 31. The victim, a 27-year-old woman from suburban Toronto, was treated and released from the hospital later that day after sustaining a bruised hip and cut to her thigh that required seven stitches.
Lynch said it was raining hard when he saw a woman dancing in the street and slowed to let pass, then continued on his way. He said he was unaware he had hit anybody.
A judge ordered Lynch's driver's license revoked but the player appealed and was allowed to keep his license.

Just as the name suggests, Hot Chicks With Douchebags makes fun of those slope-browed Neanderthals us smart guys always see surrounded by girls so hot they scald our eyes. We hate them, yet want what they have. As such, Jay Louis has been making fun of them for years at a safe distance over the internet, and recently released a book by the same name.

In news to me, both Hot Chicks With Douchebags and Simon & Schuster were sued by three of the “hot chicks” who appeared within the book. According to law.com: “The plaintiffs are not mentioned by name, but they objected to their depiction as "females who date dubious men," according to the suit.”

Ah, I love it. Not just Hot Chicks With Douchebags, but this whole legal farce that has come from it. Thankfully Jay Louis was exonerated and my day will still be filled with Hot Chicks and the Douchebags that dry-hump them on the dance floor. And thank God – that’s what really gets me through the day. That an jager-bombs!

Molly Bee, the country singer who shot to fame at age 13 with the 1952 novelty hit "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus," has died of complications following a stroke. She was 69.

Bee died Saturday at a hospital in Oceanside, her manager, Rick Saphire, told The Associated Press. She had been in failing health for several months, Saphire said Wednesday.

Bee was just 10 when she started her music career, singing the Hank Williams classic "Lovesick Blues" on country star Rex Allen's radio show. He had met her and her mother at one of his concerts and was impressed when she sang a song for him.

Three years later, the blond girl with the sweet-honey voice was a star herself, with a hit song and a regular role on "Hometown Jamboree," a popular Los Angeles country-western TV show.

Baseball great Roberto Alomar has full-blown AIDS but insisted on having unprotected sex, his ex-girlfriend charged Tuesday in a bombshell lawsuit.
The shocking claim was leveled by Ilya Dall, 31, who said she lived with the ex-Met for three years and watched in horror as his health worsened.
In papers filed in state and federal court, Dall said Alomar finally got tested in January 2006 while suffering from a cough, fatigue and shingles.
"The test results of him being HIV-positive was given to him and the plaintiff on or about Feb.6, 2006," the $15 million negligence suit says.
Nine days later, the couple went to see a disease specialist who discovered a mass in the retired second baseman's chest, the court papers say.
Alomar's skin had turned purple, he was foaming at the mouth and a spinal tap "showed he had full-blown AIDS," the suit says.
Alomar, 41, who quit baseball over health issues in 2005, could not be reached for comment.
His lawyer, Charles Bach, would not say whether Alomar is HIV-positive. "We believe this is a totally frivolous lawsuit. These allegations are baseless," Bach said. "He's healthy and would like to keep his health status private. We'll do our talking in court."
Alomar's father, Mets bench coach Sandy Alomar, said the claims were news to him. "That's the first time we ever heard of that," he said from Puerto Rico.
He didn't think his son could keep a serious illness secret. "I imagine I would know," he said.
Dall, a mother of two who has run a massage spa in Queens, would not discuss the suit.
"I have no comment," she said outside her lavish home in Whitestone, Queens, after getting out of a black Cadillac Escalade.
She referred inquiries to her lawyer, Anthony Piacentini, who declined to comment.
The suit was filed Jan. 30 in Queens Supreme Court. Alomar had it transferred to Brooklyn Federal Court Tuesday.
The court papers outline the couple's relationship, starting in 2002. A month after they began dating, Alomar convinced Dall to have unprotected sex and assured her he was disease-free, the suit alleges.
In 2004, Dall says she noticed cold sores in his mouth. In 2005, after a physical exam ordered by the Tampa Bay Rays, he was diagnosed with thrombocytopenia purpura, a blood disorder sometimes linked to HIV, she claims.
The doctor told him to have an HIV test and he refused, she says, stating he had been tested and was AIDS-free.
In April 2005, Alomar told Dall he was suffering from erectile dysfunction and confided "he was raped by two Mexican men after playing a ballgame in New Mexico or a Southwestern state when he was 17," the suit says.
It goes on to say that around the same time Alomar developed a persistent cough and was bedridden with extreme fatigue.
He developed thrush, a yeast infection, and was told by a doctor to take an HIV test - but refused, Dall claims.
"I don't have HIV," he told her repeatedly, the suit charges.
A few months later, the couple moved to Cleveland, where Alomar supposedly tested positive. Dall claims that after she learned Alomar had AIDS, she tested negative and no longer had unprotected sex with him.
They broke up last October.
She is demanding at least $15 million in punitive damages, claiming Alomar caused her emotional distress and exposed her children to the virus.
"He jeopardized the health, well-being and life of the plaintiff, which caused her to have a fear of contracting AIDS, often referred to as AIDS phobia," the suit says.
Considered one of baseball's greatest second basemen, Alomar stirred controversy in 1996 by spitting in the face of umpire John Hirschbeck.
The incident prompted fellow ump Al Clark to say, "If I were John, I'd insist that Robbie Alomar take an AIDS test."
HIV has never been transmitted through saliva, however, and last night Hirschbeck said he had no concerns about his safety - or hard feelings from their on-field run-in.
"You're telling me something I'm shocked at," Hirschbeck said. "I wish him nothing but the best."

Jeremy Lusk, an American freestyle motocross racer, died of head injuries Tuesday after crashing while trying to land a backflip in competition. He was 24.

Jorge Ramirez, chief of the intensive care unit at Calderon Hospital where Lusk was taken, said the motocross racer suffered severe brain damage and a possible spinal cord injury.

Lusk won a gold medal at the 2008 X Games. He was injured Saturday night when he failed to complete a full rotation while attempting a Hart Attack backflip and slammed headfirst into the dirt. Lusk crashed in almost identical fashion in the freestyle semifinals at the 2007 X Games but was not hurt.

He had a successful 2008 season, winning Freestyle gold at the X Games and silver in Best Trick when he landed the first double-grab Hart Attack backflip. He won a bronze helmet in Freestyle at the Moto X World Championships in his hometown of San Diego.

Ramirez said Lusk died with his parents and his wife, Lauren, at his side.

“He was in a medicine-induced coma as a protective measure, and the medicine was being reduced to see how his organism responded,” he said. “That didn’t mean he was going to wake up. He was in shock and that got worse last night, until he stopped responding and entered into cardiac and respiratory failure.”

Eluana Englaro dies

Eluana Englaro, the Italian woman at the centre of a right-to-die debate, has died, the health minister has said.
Maurizio Sacconi made the announcement in Italy's Senate as politicians were debating a law that would have forced doctors to continue feeding her.
Ms Englaro, 38, had been in a persistent vegetative state since being injured in a car crash in 1992.
Doctors at a private clinic in the northern city of Udine had been withholding her food since Friday.
They had earlier said Ms Englaro might live for another two weeks.
The Vatican, which had described the decision to let Ms Englaro die as "abominable", asked for God's forgiveness for those responsible.
"May the Lord welcome her and forgive those who led her there (to her death)," Vatican health minister Javier Lozano Barragan told the Ansa news agency.
Senators debating the bill designed to stop her feeding tubes being removed observed a minute's silence when the news was read out in the chamber.
Ms Englaro's father, Beppino, had been battling with the courts in Italy to let his daughter die since 1999, insisting it was her wish.
Court ruling
In July, a court in Milan ruled that doctors had proved Ms Englaro's coma was irreversible. It also accepted that, before the accident, she had expressed a preference for dying over being kept alive artificially.
State prosecutors appealed against the ruling, but the Court of Cassation in Rome ruled the challenge inadmissible in November.

The government's move sparked fury among centre-left opposition politicians, who accused it of trying to exploit the case.

Josephine Baker (June 3, 1906 – April 12, 1975) was an American expatriate entertainer and actress. She became a French citizen in 1937. Most noted as a singer, Baker also was a celebrated dancer in her early career. She was given the nicknames the "Bronze Venus" or the "Black Pearl", as well as the "Créole Goddess" in anglophone nations. In France, she has always been known as "La Baker".

Baker was the first African American female to star in a major motion picture, to integrate an American concert hall, and to become a world-famous entertainer. Jamal Anderson arrested

Former Atlanta Falcons running back Jamal Anderson has been charged with felony cocaine possession and misdemeanor marijuana possession after being arrested at an Atlanta nightclub, authorities said Sunday.
Anderson, a fan favorite who created the "Dirty Bird" touchdown celebration dance, played eight seasons for the Falcons before leaving the team with a knee injury in 2001.
Atlanta police spokesman Officer Otis Redmond said Anderson, 36, was arrested early Sunday at the Peachtree Tavern in Atlanta's trendy Buckhead district. Redmond said a second man, whose name was not immediately available, also was arrested.
Redmond said an off-duty officer working in security at the club alerted police. Redmond said both men allegedly had powder cocaine in their possession and that Anderson also had a suspected marijuana cigarette in his pocket.
Anderson and the other man were taken to Fulton County jail. Anderson has a court hearing on the charge at 11 a.m Monday, authorities said.
Anderson helped lead the Falcons to their first NFC title in 1998, when he rushed for 1,846 yards and set an NFL record for carries in a season with 410. It was his only Pro Bowl season. The Falcons lost to the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl that season.
Anderson was drafted out of Utah by the Falcons in the seventh round of the 1994 NFL draft, No. 201 overall.

KAWS Graffitti Artist goes Mainstream

What is it … or who, to be precise … that has brought both art collectors and skater kids to this gallery opening on New York's Fifth Avenue?

Meet KAWS … painter, designer, former graffiti artist, and one of the hottest names in the art world. (More on his unusual name in a minute.)

After years of shying away from galleries, this reluctant star is now showing his face, and his work, to a whole new crowd.

Sandra Gering, who owns the Gering and Lopez Gallery, said, "The minute I saw the paintings, the very minute I saw them, I said, 'That's it.'

"He is just of his time. He connects with his generation, totally. And the younger ones as well. I mean, they just idolize him."

"It doesn't feel like somebody painted it," a guest at the showing said about one work. "It feels almost like a drawing blown up, you know what I mean? Yeah, it's perfect."

It wasn't all that long ago that the 34-year-old KAWS was just another mischievous kid. He found his artistic voice through the illegal public painting of graffiti.

"I just started simply through graffiti and drawing on my skateboard and painting on walls and getting that small recognition," said KAWS (left), known to his family as Brian Donnelly.

He grew up in the shadow of Manhattan, across the river in Jersey City, where his faded tags can still be seen on the sides of buildings.

Donnelly used the name KAWS to stay anonymous. He only made his real name public five years ago.

"It's just a combination of letters I liked," he told Altschul. "And when your whole art's based on the lettering you choose, you kinda figure out what ones work together. I just liked the shapes of the k, a, w, s. It has no meaning."

KAWS became a street legend in the '90s by drawing over bus stop ads, establishing his signature mark … placing x's over character's eyes.

He then started designing products and vinyl figures, including a character called "companion," and painting cartoon characters from his childhood.

Altschul described a "nostalgic" from some of his work, which Donnelly connected to Smurfs.

"For me, that's one of the things, if I went to the dentist, I was allowed to buy a smurf afterwards."

Ten years later, thanks in part to a huge Internet fanbase, KAWS (who hasn't painted graffiti in a decade) has become a worldwide sensation.

Even some of music's biggest names have taken note. Hip-hop mogul Pharrell Williams was an early admirer.

"To our generation, we're gonna look at him, like, you know, he's the guy that made us pay attention to art," Williams said.

Williams has commissioned dozens of pieces for his Miami home.

"When you see KAWS, he is somethin'," he told Altschul. "His work is really truly like a stimulant. It connects with the inner child."

Usher Cancels Performance Over Wife

Usher has canceled his performance at Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party due to a family emergency, Access Hollywood has learned.

His wife, Tameka, is in Brazil and has experienced complications from plastic surgery. A neurosurgeon is on the way to South America.

A rep for Usher had no comment at this time. Josh Groban will fill in for the R&B star at Davis' annual event.
